STEVE BLOOM - Pastor of Visitation What do you do at Grace Chapel? Visitation & prison ministry; Senior Chapel; “Mugger” ministry (mugs to new visitors). What’s your favorite book? Ruth, Job, Daniel, Jonah, John, Romans, Hebrews (okay, I’ll stop). Aside from the Scriptures, A.W. Tozer’s, The Pursuit of God. Where do you like to take your family? (outings or vacations etc...) We really started to appreciate the beach when we moved to the desert, so we enjoy Ventura Harbor, & a little farther out, Cambria. What’s your favorite holiday season, and the food that goes with it? Thanksgiving through Christmas season. Any food goes with this season, and believe me, I eat it all (not in excess of course). I oversee Women’s Bible study, inSight Mom’s Ministry, Women’s retreat, along with special events like Spring Tea and Christmas Boutique. What’s your favorite book? Besides the Bible, Wisdom Hunter, by Randall Arthur is one my favorite novels. Where do you like to take your family? (outings or vacations etc...) I sit at the front desk, answer phone calls, greet all who walk in the front door, help with printing, copying and generally helping keep the office in order. JOEL CUSTODIO - Music Pastor What do you do at Grace Chapel? As Music Pastor, I lead ensembles like the Grace Chapel Ringers, the Grace Chapel Orchestra and the Celebration Choir. I also plan and prepare the special seasonal presentations for Christmas and Easter. What’s your favorite book? Right now it is a book that I read to my oldest son Jude. It is a simple board book called Daddy Kisses. It has great illustrations and it’s a lot of fun to read with him. Where do you like to take your family? (outings or vacations etc...) We love going to Disneyland, Pismo Beach, and Big Bear Lake. What’s your favorite holiday season, and the food that goes with it? I oversee and teach the Adult Small Groups, organize community building events (such as Family Camps, Softball leagues, Get-to-Know-You Dinners, etc.), Disciple men who want to grow in their understanding of the Bible, and teach at the Eternity Bible College extension campus. JEREMY HARTLEY - Publications Coordinator What do you do at Grace Chapel? First, I produce the publications for the church. For example I design The Communicator, Worship Folder, Weekly News, banners and other random works. I also have the opportunity to serve at our daughter church (Grace Chapel Neenach) as the Youth Director. I lead a youth group with junior high and high school students. It’s a blast! What’s your favorite book? My favorite book would probably be E.M Bound’s book called Power Through Prayer. We often forget in this culture the magnitude of actually talking to God. We get to communicate with Him! That shouldn’t be the case, but His Son made that possible. This book can really help your prayer life. Prayer should be a major part of our day-to-day activities. Where do you like to take your family? (outings or vacations etc...) Well, my family consists of one awesome lady, Noel. We love to go to the beach in the summer. We also love Lake Tahoe, Hume Lake and any other lake that offers relaxation! What’s your favorite holiday season, and the food that goes with it? This is a tough one because I love Christmas, but it’s not my favorite food. I am way into BBQ, so I would have to say summer holidays like 4th of July, Labor Day and Memorial Day. What do you do at Grace Chapel? My responsibilities are primarily connected with the extension campus for Eternity Bible College here at Grace Chapel. This includes teaching and administration. I get a chance to teach in a variety of contexts and greatly enjoy that. What’s your favorite book? The Book of Jonah. Where do you like to take your family? (outings or vacations etc...) It is great fun to watch my boys play at the beach right now. As they grow up, I want to explore more of the hiking trails of California with them.
